Description:

It is a component of essential oils found in thyme (thyme) and savory.

Application:

Thymol has anti-parasitic and antifungal properties, and in beekeeping - it is used to combat Varroa destructor (varroosis).

Remarks:

Insoluble in water.
It is dissolved in ethanol (ethyl alcohol) and diethyl ether.
