Crystalline thymol - 50g C10H14O
Description:
Organic chemical compound from the group of terpenoids and phenols.
It is a component of essential oils found in thyme (thyme), marjoram and savory. It creates colorless crystals with a
characteristic strong smell of thyme.
Thymol has anti-parasitic and antifungal properties, and in beekeeping - it is used to combat Varroa destructor (varroosis).
Remarks:
Insoluble in water.
It is dissolved in ethanol (ethyl alcohol) and diethyl ether.
