Pollen Cleaner - Hexagon 1.0

Contamination-free pollen for your client!

When harvesting pollen, the biggest problem for every beekeeper is contamination. Bee bodies, wings, legs, wax fibers, wax particles... the list goes on. After all, we want those consuming the pollen to enjoy the pollen itself, free of any contaminants.

How to obtain pure pollen after drying? Manual removal of contaminants, using fans and sheets, and pouring before a fan are just some of the very time-consuming methods of pollen purification.

Instead, you can simply pour the pollen into the hopper of our cleaner and open the latch.

The cleaned pollen will flow out at the bottom of the device, while the impurities will flow out at the top. The cleaned pollen is immediately ready for packaging and sale to the customer. You can air-winnow fresh or dried pollen. However, we recommend air-winnowing dried pollen, as this reduces the time required for cleaning.

How can I best adjust the cleaning power and speed?
During the season, we collect a variety of pollen with varying degrees of contamination. Sometimes we get "almost" clean pollen, and sometimes we get a lot of it. To speed up the cleaning process, it's worth adjusting the device's parameters.

When cleaning a new batch for the first time, properly adjusting the parameters will help achieve the best results.
The slider in the hopper allows you to adjust the feed gap and set the rate of falling pollen to the airflow. The blower speed, however, is regulated using the potentiometer knob on the power supply.

What to do with the remaining pollen after winnowing?
Nobody likes losses, even small ones, and such losses can undoubtedly occur during pollen cleaning. There are several ways to address this:

The first way to recover pollen from the remaining pollen is to winnow it using different winnower settings.
Weaker airflow, narrower feed slots, etc. – all depend on the level of contamination and the weight of the waste. The pollen recovered this way can be used to make pollen cake for the hive.
The second, and quickest, method is to feed the remaining pollen to the bees – they know how to use it.
An alternative to this method is to feed the pollen to other pets or farm animals, as it is very nutritious for the animals.

What else can the Heksagon cleaner help me with? Together with a group of beekeepers who tested our cleaner, we explored other applications for the device.

Bee bread free of wax.

After freezing and breaking the bee bread combs, you can successfully winnow the product. Remember to keep the bee bread at a low temperature before winnowing, because when the wax and bee bread reach temperatures above freezing, they will begin to stick together, making it impossible to winnow the wax effectively. If you're harvesting bee bread, our winnower will certainly speed up the wax removal process.

Purified propolis and separated seeds are additional features that have been successfully used by beekeepers.

Quick Start Guide:
Place a container at the bottom for the winnowed pollen or bee bread.
Turn on the power, which activates the blower.
Pour pollen (dried – up to the hopper's full capacity, fresh up to approximately 40%) or frozen bee bread into the hopper.
Waste falls out from the to. You can place a container underneath or install a nylon strainer, such as one used for straining honey
