Oxalic acid sublimator
Description:
The evaporator is used to control warroa destructor mites inhabiting bees by sublimating oxalic acid dihydrate. After the treatment, parasites are shed after two days and for another 14 days. During this period, bottom inserts should be installed in order to check the effectiveness of the treatment. In order to obtain the best results, the temperature outside the hive should be about 10 ° C. Physical properties of oxalic acid: sublimation temperature 157C, melting point 189.5C

Varroa does not develop resistance to organic acids.
Evaporation of oxalic acid crystals (as opposed to spotting with acid solution) can be carried out several times per season.
Oxalic acid does not pass into bee products.
